About This Role:

As a Manufacturing Technician III, you will play a pivotal role within our Manufacturing Maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing and laboratory analytical equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in performing corrective and preventative maintenance, thereby supporting both manufacturing personnel and laboratory staff. This position involves collaborating with engineering and validation activities, authoring procedure changes, and enhancing job plans as required. By maintaining equipment functionality, you directly contribute to the quality and efficiency of our production processes. You will be part of a dynamic environment where your input is valued and expected in solving complex problems, ensuring compliance, and optimizing workflows. Your role is integral to sustaining the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute assigned work orders using established site procedures and policies, ensuring compliance and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance on manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and facilities functions to optimize workflows and solve problems.
  • Provide engineering and validation support for manufacturing processes.
  • Author changes to procedures, job plans, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety forms.
  • Assess equipment needs and recommend system improvements and spare parts purchases.
  • Evaluate and improve preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Maintain training compliance with all assigned curricula.
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and author preventive maintenance plans.
  • Present information effectively to various groups within the organization.
  • Work under short timelines and adapt to rotating shifts, extended shifts, and weekends.
  • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance activities.

Who You Are:

You are detail-oriented and possess a strong technical acumen, enabling you to navigate the complexities of manufacturing systems seamlessly. Your safety-conscious nature ensures that you adhere to industrial safety practices and system controls. With your excellent communication skills, you can articulate technical information clearly to various stakeholders. You thrive in team-oriented environments, collaborating effectively to achieve shared goals. Adaptability is your forte, allowing you to manage rotating shifts and handle urgent tasks with ease. Your practical knowledge of GxP regulations and proficiency with industrial tools make you a valuable asset to our team.

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma; Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a GMP regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation control troubleshooting and repair.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control principles.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and draft SOPs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Six Sigma training.
  • Experience with industrial repair machinery and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
