About This Role:
As an Enterprise Webcast & AV Specialist, you will be instrumental in planning, coordinating, and delivering enterprise-grade AV and webcast support services for both internal and external events, including executive broadcasts and global town halls. This role involves providing hands-on technical leadership for live event production, ensuring platform readiness, and maintaining streaming service continuity across various sites and venues. Acting as a secondary escalation point for enterprise webcast platforms, you will ensure proactive testing, risk mitigation, and rapid incident resolution. You will collaborate with Corporate Communications, Digital Workplace, Infrastructure, and vendor teams to deliver consistent, high-quality broadcast experiences. Your contributions will aid in evolving and enhancing Biogen’s global AV and webcast service portfolio, positioning the company at the forefront of innovative communication solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead configuration, testing, and operational readiness of enterprise streaming platforms such as Kaltura and webcast encoders.
- Ownership of incident troubleshooting and service improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.
- Schedule and plan AV/webcast events, aligning stakeholders and ensuring readiness of setups.
- Oversee operations of custom AV spaces on campus, acting as the primary contact for testing and improvements.
- Validate platform health and conduct pre-event streaming path testing for live events.
- Coordinate encoder, network, and CDN for seamless live event execution.
- Manage off-site venue coordination to ensure AV needs meet Biogen standards.
- Resolve AV-related ITSM tickets within SLAs, contributing to service improvement.
- Collaborate on AV standards and improvements alongside Digital Workplace and vendor partners.
- Provide backup coverage for global webcast service owner during peak periods.

Required Skills:
- At least 5 years experience in supporting AV and webcasts for large-scale events.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
- Expertise in video streaming architectures, including CDN and encoder media routing.
- Familiarity with enterprise webcast platforms, preferably Kaltura.
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- AVIXA CTS certification or willingness to attain within the first year.
- Vendor certifications in Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms.
- Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders during high-profile events.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
