As External Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with patient advocacy groups, KMEs, business partners and government officials.

Drive strategic and systemic approach to patient engagement and incorporation of patient’s voice in our operations and lead communication activities to support business priority and company reputation.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Primary points of contact with patient advocacy group and ensure Biogen is appropriately positioned within patient advocacy group
  • Bring patient insight into the organizations and reimbursement review and approval process
  • Develop and Execute patient advocacy strategy and ensure alignment across a matrix environment
  • Identify the possible solutions and drive forwards appropriate partnership project with stakeholders to enhance patient access to Biogen innovation
  • Support the VA&CA Lead in the development and management of sustainable partnership with local government stakeholders and business partners
  • Participate in industry coalitions and industry groups to understand the development of policies and regulations
  • Understand healthcare policy change in Taiwan healthcare system and can evaluate its possible impact to stakeholder engagement and access strategies
  • Support VA&CA lead for issue management from external stakeholder perspective
  • Develop and execute communication activities both internally and externally
  • Establish partnerships and solutions that is in line with company plans and rules
  • Manage corporate affairs campaigns in demonstrating Biogen values and elements

Qualifications

  • VA/Communication/GA/PAG of two years experience
  • Experienced working with patient groups is preferable
  • Understanding of existing health policy environment and analysis skill
  • Good interpersonal and interdisciplinary skills, ability to interact & engage internal and external customers
  • Good ability to rapidly assimilate information
  • Good ability to manage multi-tasks
  • Proficient reading, speaking, and writing skills in English and Chinese
  • Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of work experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Corporate affairs experience preferred
  • Government affairs experience preferred
