Position Summary
The Director, IT and Business Systems is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of CellCentric’s enterprise technology environment. This role will oversee business systems, lead system implementation and integrations, establish robust IT governance frameworks, and ensure the organisation operates with a scalable, secure, and audit-ready technology infrastructure.
This position plays a critical role in preparing the company for NDA submission, commercial launch, and future IPO readiness by implementing SOX-aligned IT controls, policies, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an IT strategy and systems roadmap aligned with CellCentric’s clinical, regulatory, financial and commercial priorities.
- Oversee enterprise systems, infrastructure and integrations, including NetSuite and future commercial platforms, ensuring they are scalable, secure and effective.
- Establish IT governance, policies and controls to support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, SOX requirements and IPO readiness.
- Lead the company’s cybersecurity, data protection, business continuity and disaster-recovery programs.
- Manage technology vendors and service providers, setting clear expectations for performance, security, compliance and service delivery.
- Partner with Finance, HR, R&D and Commercial teams to understand business needs and deliver practical, business-aligned technology solutions.
- Oversee access management, change control, data integrity and the protection of sensitive clinical, employee and corporate information.
- Lead internal and external IT resources, assess evolving capability needs and promote accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Significant experience in IT leadership within a regulated environment (biotech, pharma, or life sciences preferred).
- Strong experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience implementing IT governance frameworks and SOX/ITGC controls.
- Experience managing external vendors and outsourced IT services.
- Proven ability to lead system implementations and manage cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
- Experience supporting audit and compliance environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
