Job Description Summary
Location: Hyderabad, 3 days' work from office at Novartis, Hyderabad is mandatoryThe Delivery Product Owner is responsible for executing the Marketing & Compliance product strategy through predictable, high-quality delivery, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven marketing content operations.
The Delivery Product Owner drives the operationalization of AI solutions by translating product strategy into execution-ready deliverables (viz backlog management, sprint/release planning, and delivery schedules), ensuring seamless integration of AI models (where needed), platforms, and workflows into content production and approval processes.
With a focus on execution excellence and delivery discipline, this role ensures that capabilities are:
• Reliably delivered with predictable timelines
• Embedded into business processes for measurable impact
• Governed with appropriate compliance, risk, and quality controls
The Delivery Product Owner partners closely with the Director Product Owner and cross functional technology teams to translate product direction into shipped capabilities.
This role will report into Group Head, Martech Product Management partnering with the other CS&BO associates, product owners, business analysts, UX Design, UX Research, technology teams, and other internal partners.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Backlog & Use Case Ownership: Own, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog, incorporating AI-driven use cases (where needed), automation opportunities, and model improvements, aligned to product outcomes and roadmap direction.
- Requirements & Solution Definition: Translate product vision into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution specifications to ensure execution readiness.
- Delivery Execution & Planning Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness, ensuring capabilities are production-ready, with validated models, data, and integration workflows.
- Delivery Decisioning & Dependency Management: Act as the primary decision-maker for day-to-day delivery trade-offs, while managing dependencies across DDIT, Config, Integration, and Data & AI teams (as needed).
- Quality, Compliance & Governance: Ensure all delivered capabilities meet usability, quality, and compliance standards, and regulatory adherence.
- Validation, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Validate delivered features against business intent and acceptance criteria, track delivery and AI performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, feedback loops, and solution optimization
- Release Readiness & Adoption Enablement: Support demos, validation, and release readiness while partnering with training, enablement, and operations teams to ensure successful adoption of capabilities within business workflows.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is required; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in product development, with exposure to digital, data-driven, or AI-enabled solutions
- Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including end-to-end execution from concept to production
- Proven ability to define user stories and acceptance criteria, and end-to-end solution design
- Expertise in backlog management and prioritization in complex, cross-functional environments, including AI use cases and automation initiatives
- Experience with MarTech and content platforms (e.g., DAM, CMS, authoring, approvals), with familiarity in AI-driven content or workflow automation is a plus
- Strong decision-making capability in ambiguous environments, including trade-offs and delivery priorities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret performance metrics
- Effective collaborator and communicator, with experience working across global, cross-functional teams (business, technology, and data teams)
Fluent in English with other languages desirable
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working within a software technology organization or digital product environment
- Familiarity with content management systems and marketing platforms
