Leadership and global oversight on the CS&I Clinical Operations Management organization to support TM studies across all Therapeutic Areas. Provide strategic and clinical operational expertise to ensure high quality study operational support across CS&I, efficient resource management and optimized operational productivity.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the global CS&I Clinical Operations Management organization assignment and management of study operations personnel to support the TM studies across all General Medicine Therapeutic Areas.
Act as global line manager of the Clinical Operations Head and local Clinical Operations Managers as applicable.
Accountable for the global organizational structure, hiring and talent development within the CS&I Clinical Operations Management organization.
Ensure high-quality study operations support in all TM studies and across all CS&I Line Functions (as applicable), in compliance with regulatory, timelines and budget requirements.
Accountable for global resourcing study operations support and staffing to ensure appropriate study operations support within CS&I.
Lead the 3rd party resource strategy and collaboration with internal and external partners to complement clinical operations support through a flexible and cost-effective resourcing model.
Oversight and adherence to quality standards within the CS&I Clinical Operations organization.
Ensures continuous review of study operations processes and resourcing to identify efficiencies and promote innovative solutions and implementation of change.
Core member of CS&I Trial Leadership team providing operational excellence to ensure TM study success.
Ensure seamless collaborations across the CS&I line functions and other departments in the company (including country organizations) on clinical operations support.
Act as main contact for the TM Academy and foster strong collaborations within CS&I and other departments in the company on talent attraction, development and exchange
Essential Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification or work experience, preferably in life sciences or nursing.
Strong knowledge of clinical trials, clinical operations, early clinical development and scientific environment.
Proven leadership skills and ability to build and lead organizations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with successful presentation capabilities.
Excellent teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
Recognized for combining operational and scientific excellence in Drug Development.
Fluent oral and written English
The salary for this position is expected to range between: $168,000-$312,000/year
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
