Job Description Summary
#LI-Hybrid - Location: Hyderabad, 3 days' work from office at Novartis, Hyderabad is mandatory
This is a key role in the Business Excellence team within IMO to drive business excellence initiatives within Integrated Marketing Organization (IMO) with best-in-class benchmarks, frameworks, and methodologies. In particular, this role will help in executing the key business health strategic levers (e.g. NOCC build-up, AI/Technology, Process Excellence, Location Strategy, Strategic Work-force Planning, Organization Health, etc.). This role will report to the Business Excellence leader within NOCCs and is part of a team of 5-7 associates (in MEX and HYD NOCCs) working on various business excellence and AI process excellence initiatives.
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
- Work with IMO leadership team to identify and execute on the different functions and teams to be included in the transformation to drive exceptional effectiveness and efficiency for the US organization
- Strike the right balance between short-term improvement and long-term value
- Enable and establish business excellence in work delivery through NOCCs
- Provide proactive delivery support in defining the strategy for work delivered from NOCCs
- Lead with our culture and our values of being Inspired, Unbossed, Curious, and Integrity
- Project manage IMO cross-functional monitoring and reporting on key US LT programs – Process Excellence, AI adoption, Location Strategy, Workforce Planning, and Org. Health
- Challenge peers, teams, senior management, and partners to deliver greater impact Support in implementation planning, forecasting, budgeting, resourcing, communication, governance, and change tracking for Business Excellence activities
- Ensure strategic and operational discipline in planning and execution. Support the planning, coordination, and tracking of projects under IMO strategic programs; manage workplans, timelines, dependencies, and risk logs
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, dashboards, and reports to enable leadership visibility and timely decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams) to ensure project alignment and efficient execution.
- Drive adherence to established IMO PMO methodologies and best practices; contribute to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks
- Ensure execution and implementation is seamless as per the timelines and expectations of IMO Leaders
- Establish, monitor and report KPIs/metrics and continuously strive for improvements
- Support leaders in preparing for periodic reporting and governance meetings to review progress of Business Excellence initiatives (immediate focus on AI and Process Excellence initiatives) and report out progress to IMO LT
Key performance indicators:
- Successful execution and implementation of Business Excellence initiatives within IMO
- Accurate monitoring and reporting out of key Business Excellence priorities of strategic importance to IMO LT – Process Excellence, AI adoption, Location Strategy, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Org. Health
- Identification of efficiencies and processes across functions and execute / deliver on the roadmap plan
- Accelerate AI readiness, adoption, and effectiveness within NOCCs
- Customer / functional feedback on effectiveness of monitoring and tracking.
Essential Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of professional experience
- Managing without direct authority and managing in a matrix
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and comfort with complexity
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Prior experience in top tier management consulting firms and process excellence work highly preferred
- Prior experience applying technology / AI to solve business problems highly preferred
Functional Skills:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management
- Problem solving and reporting to executive audience
- Excellent understanding and experience in AI and Business Process management – techniques and tools
- Project management experience – scoping, defining deliverables, and timelines/milestones tracking
- Influencing and working through the global matrix
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Customer Engagement.
Educational Background:
- Minimum: University degree
- Desirable: MBA or equivalent professional qualification
Languages:
- Fluent in verbal and written English
