Exo Imaging is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to design new ultrasound products for manufacture in Asia and the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product design of new ultrasonic products.
  • Design of metal casting components and plastic molded parts for high

volume/low-cost manufacture.

  • Develop thermal solutions using internal and external resources for CFD
  • Document tooling concepts, component specifications and

product subassemblies from initial design to market release.

  • Works with team to refine product design.
  • Prototyping, in house and at vendors to confirm designs.
  • Orders, inspects and evaluates product components and subassemblies and

tooling, for in house assembly, Asian and US based pilot production and

final commercial production.

  • Reviews reports as needed to support validation activities, including Design

Verification.

  • Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of product development.
  • Coordinates activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure the

delivery of supplies or services needed to meet scheduled timelines.

  • Conducts feasibility studies of the design to determine ability to function

as intended.

  • Participates in brainstorming.
  • Experience working with operations to develop strong manufacturing process
  • instructions and operator environment is desired.
  • Familiarity with fabrication methods: prototypes and high-volume metal casting,

machined, molded, assembly methods, adhesives, etc.

  • Work with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM / DFA) guidelines

from vendors and OEM.

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • BSME required.
  • MSME preferred or extensive experience in areas listed above.
  • 6+ years of product design and development experience with an emphasis on high

volume metal and plastics design, fabrication and transfer of manufacture to Asia

or US facility as needed.

  • Familiarity with FMEA, CFD, and thermal solutions.

Other Requirements:

  • Travel as needed.
  • SolidWorks 3D CAD proficiency.
  • SolidWorks PDM desired.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office
  • products.
