Job Description

Stealth NewCo is a next-generation genome engineering company on a mission to create best-in-class  medicines for patients, from curative therapies for monogenic disease to cellular reprogramming for  complex disease. We are building an unparalleled understanding of a novel class of enzymes, large  serine recombinases, that enable insertion of large DNA payloads into specific sites in the human  genome via a simple and efficient system, opening the door to potential cures. Our innovative suite of  technologies will also enable epigenomic manipulation and design of genetic circuits. We are  assembling a diverse team of innovators who seek to invent the future by engineering biology and have  a passion for doing what’s right for patients.

  • Support the design, planning, and execution of experiments that support research activities,  project goals, and platform development.
  • Utilize techniques for mammalian cell culture including transfections/nucleofections,  transduction and genomic DNA/protein extraction.
  • Identify and sort cells with complex populations using flow cytometry and other phenotypic readouts.
  • Conduct protein expression analysis by western blotting, PCR amplification, and other molecular biology  techniques.
  • Maintain lab notebook; analyze and interpret data.
  • Present findings and experimental plans to the scientific team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology/cell biology/related discipline plus 3+ years industry  experience OR Master’s degree in molecular biology/cell biology/related discipline plus 2+ years  of industry experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques and cell-based and  molecular biology assays with a variety of readout technologies, such as flow cytometry, PCR,  and western blot.
  • Experience independently generating and documenting precise, reproducible data and skillfully  analyzing the data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of conveying technical information in a  clear and thorough manner.
  • Motivated and excited about biological discovery and assay development.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience using genome editing tools, such as CRISPR-Cas9.
  • Experience working with lab automation.
