About the Role:
RASyn is seeking an innovative, intellectually curious, and team-oriented Scientist / Senior Scientist in Protein Engineering, who is excited to work on advanced technology development projects at the intersection of protein sciences, synthetic biology, engineering, and microfluidics. In your role as an expert in Protein Engineering at RASyn, you will build, establish, and optimize cell free protein synthesis workflows, as well as contribute to the development of novel assays for high-throughput screening of a wide variety of proteins. You will support our cross-functional teams with your profound knowledge of proteins and be a key contributor supporting our R&D programs. As a member of a rapidly growing and very engaged team, you will have the opportunity to participate in leading cutting-edge research and development, and work with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and execute experiments to support research activities, project goals and platform development
- Implement and optimize Cell Free Protein Synthesis of various proteins into high-throughput screening and production workflows.
- Characterize CFPS-produced materials using UPLC, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and other methods
- Use automation to support high-throughput activities
- Analyze and report experimental results verbally and in writing
Qualifications & Skills:
- PhD in biological engineering, biochemistry, synthetic biology, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in implementation, analysis, and optimization of Cell-Free Protein Synthesis systems
- Experience with high-throughput experimental design
- Hands-on expertise with current molecular biology techniques including molecular cloning, protein expression, purification, and characterization, and phage display technology
- Strategic thinker, able to shift seamlessly between rigorous scientific details and high-level context and implications
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
