Role:
The Biology and Translational Sciences group at TRIANA Biomedicines is seeking a passionate and independent Senior Scientist to help drive discovery and early translational biology activities for pre- portfolio and pipeline programs. The qualified candidate will join a growing team of dedicated researchers seeking to deliver on TRIANA’s target-first approach to molecular glue discovery.
Responsibilities:
- Use genetic tools to link target degradation to phenotypic response in disease-relevant models
- Develop and carry out cell-based assays to monitor cellular target engagement, ubiquitination,
target protein degradation, and downstream signaling events - Design and execute experiments to understand the mechanism of action of proprietary molecular glue degraders for high value oncology targets
- Record, interpret, and communicate data promptly
- Present data in team and company meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong bench skillset with hands-on experience in molecular and cell biology techniques such as cell culture, CRISPR, RNAi, transfection, lentiviral transduction, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting, qRT-PCR, and cell proliferation/viability assays
- Strong verbal and writing skills for data documentation, drafting reports and communication to team members
- Team-oriented, flexible, independent, enthusiastic, and collaborative
Education/experience:
Ph.D. in Cell or Molecular Biology or related discipline with 5+ years of post-graduate experience (industry preferred), or BS/MS with 10+ years of industry experience
