Job Description

Vaxess Technologies is developing next generation vaccines and therapies based on its proprietary MIMIX™ Microneedle
Array Patch technology. MIMIX™ enables self-administration of vaccines and therapeutics to the skin with potential for
improved shelf-stability, tolerability, and efficacy. We are committed to enabling products that are accessible to patients
around the world.
Research & development at Vaxess is cross-disciplinary, integrating biology, chemistry, immunology, materials science,
and engineering to address important unmet medical needs in vaccines and therapeutics. We are seeking a talented,
collaborative, and highly motivated individual with expertise in bioassays to join our core team of scientists and
engineers. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving clinical-stage biotech company bringing innovative

• Perform assays to characterize vaccine antigens and therapeutics and assess their biological functions.
• Perform routine tissue culture, maintaining cell lines needed in the bioassays and other cell biology
characterization work.
• Support method development and qualification of bioassays.
• Contribute to experimental planning; analyze data, communicate results, and present work in team meetings.
• Collaborate closely with scientists and engineers to advance novel vaccine and therapeutic candidates from
research through Phase I/II clinical trials.
• Monitor, acquire and maintain cell culture media, assay reagents, materials & consumables for the team.
• Maintain accurate and timely laboratory records and electronic lab notebook entries.
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the Biological Life Sciences with at least 3 years of biopharmaceutical industry.
experience OR Master’s degree in those fields with 1+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with cell-based assays, immunoassays, tissue culture methods and other biologic
characterization techniques, including ELISAs, SDS-PAGE / Western Blotting, Transfection, PCR, Flow Cytometry
and Spectroscopy.
• Experience working with mRNA and lipid or polymer delivery systems is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a GxP environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
